Volunteer With Us
We are building a welcoming, inclusive, and community-driven Games Expo, and we are looking for volunteers who want to help create a positive and memorable experience for everyone attending. Whether you have prior experience or are simply enthusiastic about being involved, there is a place for you within the team.
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking individuals who are friendly, approachable, and reliable, with a willingness to engage with attendees and support the smooth running of the event. Volunteers should be able to remain calm in busy environments, take initiative where needed, and work collaboratively as part of a team. An inclusive mindset is essential, ensuring that all attendees feel comfortable and welcome. An interest in tabletop games is beneficial but not required.
What You Might Be Asked To Do
Volunteer roles will vary across the event and may include welcoming and directing attendees, assisting with ticket checks, answering general queries, and helping people navigate the venue. You may support gaming areas by helping set up and reset tables, connecting players with games, or assisting event hosts. Some roles involve supporting vendors with setup and pack-down, while others focus on general operations such as signage, wayfinding, and maintaining safe, accessible spaces. We may also need assistance in running a Games Library and a Bring and Buy Area.
What to Expect
Volunteers will be scheduled across flexible shifts, allowing time to enjoy the event as well as contribute to it. You will receive clear guidance on your role and be supported by the wider team throughout. The environment will be collaborative and well-organised, with an emphasis on communication and mutual support.
What You’ll Get
Volunteers will receive free entry to the event, on the days that they volunteer, along with the opportunity to gain experience working on a live convention. You will meet a wide range of people, including designers, players, and exhibitors, and play an active role in shaping the atmosphere of the event. Above all, you will be part of a team working together to deliver something genuinely enjoyable for the community.

Once Enrolled
Completing the form does not guarantee a place on the team but it is an important first step. Once completed you will receive confirmation of receipt, and you will then be contacted hopefully within 3 – 4 weeks to confirm whether or not you have been successful. If successful then please expect to attend at least one orientation meeting and also an in situ site visit either on a Saturday or Sunday prior to the event.
