By Train

• The nearest mainline station is Newcastle Central Station.

• From Central Station, you can:​

  • Take the Tyne & Wear Metro (either line) towards South Shields or Sunderland and get off at Gateshead Stadium station. The stadium is approximately a 5-10 minute walk from the Metro station.

  • Take a taxis from outside Central Station for a direct journey to the venue.

• Several local bus routes stop close to Gateshead Stadium

• Services running along Askew Road, Saltmeadows Road, or Gateshead High Street provide convenient access.

• The nearest major interchange is Gateshead Interchange, where you can transfer to the Metro or take a short taxi ride to the stadium.
